Myth 4 - Mechanics are always ripping me off.

Fact: “Didn’t build it, didn’t break it, just trying to fix it” is a motto that a lot of technicians and mechanics subscribe to. They just want to fix your problems, and unfortunately this is quite often an expensive proposition. Difficulties arise when exact details of your vehicles' problems don’t make it to the service bays, and the details of what the technician found and is recommending don’t make it back to the customer. If the client doesn’t understand exactly what is being done to their vehicle, why, and what to expect as a result, the perception is quite often “I got ripped off” or “they don’t know what they’re doing”.   There is a three way communication, client to advisor to technician and back again. Any breakdown at any point results in problems and perhaps a misdiagnosis or worse. Effective communication is paramount, and at Apex we have procedures for proper information flow to ensure we meet your service and repair needs and expectations.
